So now I finally know...

... what Prezi is all about! The demonstration in the CPD23 Things no. 17 is the first time I have ever seen it in action and I can’t deny that it is rather impressive. If I can master it I don’t think I shall ever use Powerpoint again.  I am already going to try and put something together for the College Collections student special interest group based on the structure of the book. I envisage that it will start with, you’ve guessed it, an image of a book, and then I can zoom in to each part with close up diagrams and pictures to illustrate what I am trying to tell them, like a sewing diagram on the spine, or whatever. God, I already feel sorry for these boys! #bookgeek!  

Oh, another tip aside from the ones listed on the CDP23 post for not inflicting Prezi-sickness on your audience. Make sure they are not sitting too close! Bleugh!

 Slideshare is going to be one of those things that make my life better in a little, almost un-noticeable kind of way, like a thermostatically controlled shower (our new house has one, no more 10 minute adjustment of water temperature each morning, trust me, it actually saves me that much time).  I hate handouts, I lose them, they get all raggedy, and I have to retype them just so they are with all my word processed notes.  Now all have to do is convince every speaker I hear to use it solely for my benefit.
